Description

Note 1: These seat bases were designed to work with the stock seats and factory seat base components. We try to make these bases fit as many seats and applications as possible, but can’t guarantee they will work with everything. So far they have been tested with Simpson (formerly Twisted Stitch) seats, PRP seats and Pro Armor. Simpson seats are not suggested.  The amount of adjustment with Simpson seats is limited due to the seat latch hitting the bottom of the seat.  The bases DO NOT work with Beard seats, Corbeau, or Triple X seats.  The seat latch interferes with the steel seat frame at the rear.  Contact us for information on testing new applications risk free.

Note 2: 4 seaters with stock cages will be limited on how far back the seat can slide due to the bar on the cage directly behind the seat. You can either use it that way or cut that bar off to utilize the full range of adjustment and lowering of the seat base.  The front seats on the General 4 seater will rub on the front seatbelt housing when used with a stock roll cage and factory seat belt positions while the seat is adjusted to the rear most positions.  The stock Turbo S 4 seat cage limits how far back the seat can be adjusted where the 4 point seat belts mount to the cross tube.

Note 3: The seat bases are made to fit tight. The Polaris tolerances with the seat latch pin and the round bar that goes over the front of the seat base has been known to vary. The stock seat base rubbers also flatten out over time from use. On newer machines and machines with newer rubber bumpers, you may need to remove 2 of the 4 bumpers on the rear, or shorten the rubber bumpers, in order to get the seat base to latch.

Note 4: RS1 cannot use the last 3 notches in the seat slider. The bottom of the seat base touches the fuel tank cover but still fits and works. You will still lower your head more than 1″ (see picture.) I still had plenty of leg room and I’m 5’11”, 200lbs.

Note 5: General’s have a firewall that is more upright than a RZR.  Although this base fits the machine, it was designed for the RZR.  If used in the General, the seat will have to move forward some to clear the firewall plastic.  The plastic at the bottom can be heated and pushed down some for more clearance to push the seat further back.  We highly recommend the Gen 4 seat bases for use in the General’s instead of the Gen 3 seat bases.

Gen 3 and Gen 4 seat base differences.  Gen 3 seat bases recline 7 degrees and lower your head approximately 2″.  That means that some machines will require the seat to be moved forward some if the top of the seat is hitting the firewall or is hitting the harness tube on 4 seaters.  The Gen 4 seat base has 3 recline settings via carriage bolts.  Depending on the set of holes the carriage bolts are installed into, the seat will be reclined 3.5 degrees (1.5″ head lowering), 5.2 degrees (1.75″ head lowering), or 7 degrees (2″ head lowering).  The slider notches are also laser cut into the Gen 4 seat base so you don’t reuse the factory zinc coated part.  The Gen 4 also has longer slots and an extra notch to possibly gain leg room in 4 seat machines with aftermarket cages that have the harness bar further back than the factory bar.

Warranty Information:  Rock Ready UTV seat bases have a lifetime warranty to the original purchaser.  The warranty covers the structural steel plate portion of the seat base.  Misuse, improper installation, or seat bases that have been modified from the new condition including use in conjunction with other aftermarket components will not be warrantied.  The powder coating, latches, and hardware are not covered by the warranty.

Just got my seat base today. Very high quality easy to install and it did what they said it would it dropped my seat 2+ inches. I’m 6’10 and have 2014 1000 with a lowered cage and fit perfectly and it gave me some more knee room And got a free shirt!
Thanks again Rock Ready Keep up the good work!

I just installed this and it made a MUCH bigger difference than expected. I am 6’4” 270lb and felt the stock setting for my 2018 XP4 was too upright. After my ride yesterday I was much more comfortable. I called about a question and he answered promptly and took care of what I needed.

Before ordering my bases I received excellent and honest service. I have a XP4 1000. Once I ordered bases I received tracking info the next day. Got the bases and installed. Very easy to install once I read the instructions. Better pictures would have made it easier. The comfort of sitting in seat is night and day difference. I’m 6’2″ and wish I would have bought a set a long time ago.

Ordered these on Monday and had them at my door on Wednesday. I looked at a few different brands before deciding on these. Im glad I did. The quality on these are excellent. They also come with everything needed to install. I bought them to sit me a little lower because I kept hitting my helmet on my lowered cage. What I didnt expect was how much more comfortable it made my seating position. The angle that it reclines your seats is really nice. Overall this is a great quality product that I would definitely recommend.

I received my base for my 2015 RZR 1000 and it arrived extremely fast and everything was packed professional and is of the highest quality. The installation instructions took me a couple times to read but when I slowed down they made sense. I ordered the black powder coat and without paying attention, you wouldn’t notice the difference between the factory seat and the new seat other than the seat sits lower which is awesome. I’m a tall guy and this difference in seat height allows me to fit better in the RZR and I no longer bump my head on the cover. From the ordering, to installation to the overall quality and craftsmanship of the base, I would give 10 stars if possible.

There are several options available to lower or change the angle of the seat back to make the seats in our RZR’s more comfortable and I wanted to try one of those options in our car. I also like the idea of maintaining the ability to easily adjust the seat bottoms in case my wife and I wanted to change places in the car. From what I could tell, the Rock Ready UTV seat bases are the only ones on the market that maintain the ability to easily slide the seats back and forth and still give the user a bit of a seat drop.
I had a concern as to whether our PRP GT/SE seats would fit because they are the wider version that PRP has available. After speaking to Charles and discussing my concerns, he assured me that Rock Ready UTV would stand behind their product and make sure I was satisfied with our purchase. Per our conversation, Charles was correct and they fit just fine.
I am very satisfied with our purchase and find the recline angle to be much more comfortable than the OEM angle and if in the future I decide I would like to lower the seat base more, I still have that option if I choose to eliminate the ability to slide. I guess the big plus , in my opinion, is the ability to choose how I want to do use these seat bases.
Another BIG plus to purchasing from Rock Ready UTV is that they support our police and fire personnel. And you will be purchasing a product manufactured in the USA. Seems like a win win to me!!

Just finished installing my seat base from Rock Ready. Honestly never been more pleased opening a box! The base was packed nicely, parts bag was complete, and the instructions were clear, easy to read and had detailed color pictures! He even includes stickers and a business card!

The base is extremely well made. No blemishes or noticeable shortcuts were noticed. The fit is perfect and if I didn’t know better I would think this was a Polaris product!

The lower height and angle is a noticeable difference, won’t be long till I order the passenger side as well!

    Thank you Rock Ready!!!

Great product one of the best and cheapest things I’ve done to my RZR so far. Great instructions with pictures make installation a breeze

Very good product! Fast shipping. I like the design of it, drops it 2” just the like description says. I like how it uses the slider also. I’m shorter so I still wanted that. All around happy with it thanks!
